Pre-Requisite Course Screener for Workshop Participants

Use this screening tool to determine which courses you need as pre-requisites. We all come from different educational backgrounds. Having a basic minimum level for our workshop ensures safety for the babies you will see in your practice and optimal workshop success!

Value: Pre-requisites are offered at a significant discount and provide a permanent digital reference for continued skill refinement. We strongly recommend reviewing the material periodically as you experience challenging cases and to reinforce technique.

Question 1 of 3

Have you ever taken any infant cranium anatomy courses, cranio-sacral technique training, or do you have a pediatric qualification? If you select B (no) you must add Treating the Infant Cranium to your checkout.

A

Yes. I know the special attributes and cartilaginous joint spaces of the infant skull. I have palpatory experience with cranial bones.

B

No. I have no (or very minimal) experience landmarking bones on the skull and little knowledge of the infant skull.

Question 2 of 3

Do you understand the difference between a small mandible and a retracted mandible? Do you know what a good feeding rhythm looks and feels like? Is your mandible anatomy up to par? If you select B (no) you must add Infant Latch, the Jaw & Tongue to your checkout.

A

Yes. I could use some refinement but I have some knowledge of jaw mechanics, latch movement and rhythm.

B

No. I am not skilled at assessing the jaw movement or feeding quality.

Question 3 of 3

Do you work inside the mouth at all? If you answer B (no), you must add Intra-Oral Treatment to your checkout.

A

Yes. I need more skill development but I do use some techniques already. I know where the palatine bones are and how they connect to the maxilla and sphenoid bone. I have felt a baby latch on my finger.

B

No. I never (or almost never) put a glove on and palpate inside the mouth. My facial bone and oral anatomy is not currently fresh. I don't know what a good latch feels like on my finger.
